Trying to Figure Out Split Post With MORE Tag
I’m trying to figure out how to split my text with a partial sentence on the first page, then continue the rest of the post on another page. This would have come in handy when I posted the pictures of the Webkinz Christmas Presents. I didn’t want the pictures to show up on the front page incase a reader wanted to wait until Christmas Day to be surprised when they opened their gift box. I’m now testing the “Split Post with MORE Tag, so here goes. We’ll see if this works or
not. I typed the sentence and at the end of “or” I clicked on the “Split Post with More Tag” icon in the toolbar, then continued to type the rest of the sentence under the tiny “more” button that appeared just under my sentence to the right of the work space. The “Split Post with More Tag” icon looks like a small box on top of a larger box with a dashed line dividing the two boxes. Mine is located to the left of “ABC“.
When I tried this before and “saved and continued editing” then “previewed” my work there was no split. I googled the question “how do you use the Split post with MORE tag in wordpress” and was told that even though you can’t see the split in the preview it should show up when it’s “published”, so lets take a look see. Here goes nothing!
Oh my GOSH!!!! It worked!!!! TA DA!!! I know this is just beginner stuff but I didn’t know how to do this before and I just taught myself how to do it!!! Cool Beans!!!
Sorry this really doesn’t have anything to do with Webkinz but it’s a learning process for me and I just had to test this out.
